Where the run starts

On the day a man in his twenties comes home to his father's house, his stepmother Veronica Parker welcomes him warmly and tells him that his father is away on a work trip. They will be alone for a week. She is an adult woman who knows what she wants and has prepared a list of house rules, starting with the one that he follows her every command. He has a girlfriend and says so, and he wants to stay faithful. A hot tub is warming outside, and he is invited to join her.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, his girlfriend has called to say she will visit tomorrow, and Veronica has added a second rule, no calls to her today, and told him to be ready for a shower in ten minutes. Halfway through the second, he refuses her on the grounds of his girlfriend and his father, and the next morning he wakes to a robe, black lace and a rule that he must not pretend he did not hear her. Then his girlfriend knocks at the door.
