Where the run starts

On a Friday night in a family basement, Nick would rather be in bed. His father has married Emma's mother, and the house now holds a stepsister who treats boredom as a personal insult. Emma has invited her best friend Rhea over, found a bottle to spin and decided that Nick is the third player. Emma wants a game she controls. Rhea wants to see how far it goes. Nick wants the parents upstairs to end the evening.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, the dares have found their target. The bottle sends Nick to sit close to Rhea, his hoodie becomes a prize, and a lap turns into assigned seating that Emma defends as simple rules. When their mother calls down a warning through the floor, Emma answers by cutting the game to whispers and taking over as the only dare-giver. The second episode keeps those new rules running, with all three still at the table and only Emma holding the bottle.
