Where the run starts

At an empty beach house on the first morning of a week away, Delilah, a grown woman in her twenties, wakes her boyfriend Ryan with news: her best friend Lena has caught an earlier flight and will land within the hour. The two have not met in person, because Lena works constantly and travels often. Delilah wants her closest friend and her boyfriend to get along. Ryan wants an easy week. Lena, a confident adult, wants a look at the man she keeps hearing about.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, Lena has arrived, greeted Delilah warmly and turned to Ryan with a comment about his build that Delilah laughs off. Delilah, who has been praising how attentive he has been lately, steers everyone toward the dance floor that evening. The second episode lets the three of them settle into the house, while Lena's interest in Ryan stays open and Delilah keeps looking elsewhere.
