Where the run starts

In the final week before a wedding, the groom, Nick, shares a house with his fiancée Selena and her maid of honor, a woman who has arrived with garment bags and opinions. The maid of honor has been Selena's closest friend for years and has watched Selena pick Nick all along. She is writing a toast that devotes three lines to the bride and one to him. Selena wants everyone to get along. Nick wants one friendly sentence. The maid of honor wants proof he is worthy.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, she has announced that she will win him over by the end of the week, and he has pointed out she asks about him on every call. She denies hating him, saying only that she does not think he is good enough. Then Selena hands him a task: be at the venue at noon, because someone must zip the maid of honor in or out.
