My Best Friend's Mom Teaches Pilates

Where the run starts

At a pilates studio in the evening, a man named Jake arrives for the first of ten sessions that his best friend Tyler gave him, and learns that the instructor behind Tyler's recovery is his own mother. She is a confident woman who runs the studio with no machines, as she says she is the equipment. Jake wants his back sorted and to stay loyal to his friend. She wants to know how much of a lesson he can take, and her hands settle on his breath.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, the session has stopped being only an exercise. Tyler phones in to ask if his mother has fixed Jake yet, and later knocks on a locked door, which she answers by telling Jake to come back tomorrow after close. Halfway through the second, Tyler hands over his friend with a joke and leaves for a while, and Jake finds that session two is his own turn. His wallet remains in the room, and fifteen minutes remain.
