Where the run starts

On a Friday evening when his father works late, a man in his twenties comes home to find his stepmother in a dress, her dinner plans canceled. She is relaxed and amused; he is flustered and quickly steps away to ring a friend. On the call he says how attractive he finds her and that he should not. He wants to be a decent son to his father and not to say it aloud, but the walls are thin and she is at the door. She wants the dress to have been worth putting on.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, she has confirmed that dinner is off, remarks that the dress deserves an audience, and asks whether he has taken a proper look. Two episodes in, she reveals that she overheard his remarks to his friend and wonders if he exaggerated. He insists he did not. Halfway through the second, he worries about his father coming home, and she answers that the father has no say tonight.
