One-Night Stand Is My Friend's Stepmom

Where the run starts

Some three weeks on from an anonymous night in Cabo, a man named Danny visits his best friend Luke's family home with a bottle of wine. The woman who opens the door, cooking in a warm kitchen and unconcerned about dress, is introduced as Luke's stepmother, Marisa. They had agreed on no names and no numbers in Cabo, so neither knew. Danny wants to get through dinner without a slip. Marisa, married to a man away until the end of the month, has been thinking about that night each evening.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, they have promised each other that Luke can never find out, and she sends Danny to a laundry room that is right there. Halfway through the second, they stand in that room while Luke is upstairs waiting for dinner. She admits to wearing the Cabo perfume daily since and that she waited three weeks. Luke calls for his dinner, and she tells Danny he can wait.
