Where the run starts

In a private training studio five days before his wedding, a groom arrives for a session while his fiancée and his mother are occupied with a venue and a quarrelsome caterer. He is tense. The trainer, a confident woman who runs the place, notices his nerves, tells him the stress does not have to follow him into her studio, and asks him to remove his shirt so that she can check his form. She asks whether he is truly ready for marriage and invites him back tomorrow, with no fiancée in tow, to collect a program and something besides.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, he has agreed to return, admitting to himself that he should not be noticing what he is noticing. Two episodes in, he is back, telling his fiancée he is somewhere else, with four days left, and the trainer is asking whether he is finished lying to his own body. Halfway through the second episode, his fiancée arrives at the studio and calls for him from outside the locked door, and the trainer shows no sign of hurrying.
