Under Her Watch maps a summer at an exclusive seaside club, where lifeguard Sophie Dee takes a newly hired cabana attendant in hand after a near-drowning. The five-episode run weighs her appeal against the club's professional rules and the boss's wary eye. The register is bold and flirtatious, with a teasing instructional streak.

Where the run starts

Late in the afternoon at a private beach club, a swimmer gets caught in the surf and is hauled out by the lifeguard on duty. Sophie Dee is composed, magnetic and used to men who lose their footing near her. The swimmer she pulled out is the new hire, a cabana attendant whose only credential is being related to the owner's husband. She wants a project for the summer, and he wants to learn the job without embarrassing himself again. The club's manager insists on professional conduct, which only gives everything more of an edge.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, he has learned her name, been introduced around the club as the owner's relative, and watched Sophie claim him for her own team before anyone else can. Two episodes in, the lessons begin, starting with a mandatory safety certification that she personally signs off on, built around a resuscitation drill on a mat. A staffer who walks in on them promises to keep quiet, and makes clear that silence will cost something.
