Where the run starts

At a military base where discipline is a daily routine, a corporal arrives late to formation and is made to answer for it. Sergeant Holly is strict, quick to find fault, and entirely in command of the people under her. He is nervous, eager to avoid trouble, and aware that his attention keeps landing where it should not. She wants control, and she turns his mistakes into a reason to keep him close. Another soldier, Jessica, is quietly interested in him and tracks his movements.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, the corporal is sent to the sergeant's cabin for punishment, and the evening ends with a sudden interruption from the general. Two episodes in, the sergeant complains of an injured back, and the corporal offers to help with some chiropractic work. His hands are on her, and Jessica spots what is happening and is sent away before she can react. The sergeant tells him he is a daring man, and neither of them pretends it was only treatment.
