Where the run starts

A groom whose wedding is five days off steps into Veronica's fitting room for the final adjustments to his suit. Veronica has measured many grooms and treats each visit like routine, but she takes her time with this one, pays him a compliment about his fiancée and asks if he is sure he is ready. He wants the suit finished and the week to end. His fiancée wants the venue sorted out. His mother is arguing with the caterer. Veronica wants more than the waistline.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, she has asked him to take off his coat and shirt, suggested that the stress does not have to follow him into her shop, and sent him off, telling him to return the following day without company. Two episodes in, he returns without his fiancée, who believes he is elsewhere. Halfway through the second, with four days left, his fiancée arrives at the door while Veronica turns the lock and asks if he really wants to leave.
