Mona's Obsession keeps its eye on Mona, who teases her stepbrother whenever they share a room, and on the girlfriend he is supposed to be loyal to. The five-episode run is bickering and awkward comedy first, then a slow-burn game of dares and interruptions.

Where the run starts

In a shared family house where she never knocks, Mona makes a habit of walking in on her stepbrother, asking what he is watching and whether the woman on screen is better looking than she is. He is annoyed, has a girlfriend named Kaylee, and is asked by his mother to take Mona to the gym since he has the time. She enters his room at the wrong moment, then at the right one, and threatens to tell his girlfriend there is an affair.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, she has got hurt and he has rushed to check on her, and her pleased remark that he does care shows how the whole routine works. Two episodes in, she shows up in his bathroom to shower because her own has no hot water, borrows his shirt and keeps talking until the doorbell rings. Halfway through the second episode, Kaylee arrives, Mona stays in the house under a flimsy excuse about books, and he has to keep both women apart for the rest of the evening.
