Where the run starts

At the start of his first overnight at an old hotel, a newly appointed night manager is handed the keys and a warning that the building runs on its own rules. He is the only man on the staff that evening, which a colleague named Sloane mentions with some amusement, and he is told to stay at the front desk and let the others handle the upper floors. He wants to prove he can run the shift without incident. The guests, however, have other plans for him. A call arrives for a special plate to be taken to room 808, and he learns that dessert is not what it sounds like.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, he has delivered the order and discovered that the woman in the room did not call because she was hungry. She tells him what she actually ordered, and he is the item on the menu. Halfway through the second, the colleague downstairs remarks that someone is enjoying the new job, while the guest slips away to change into something comfortable and tells him he may follow.
