Where the run starts

On the first evening of a long stay, a couple's home has a new houseguest because the girlfriend wanted to host someone from abroad. Mica arrives shy, polite and full of questions about English, and the girlfriend is late for work and asks her boyfriend to help Mica settle in. He aims to be a decent host and nothing more. Mica wants to understand the phrases she hears, and her first question is what friends with benefits means.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, he has given his best explanation, she has learned a new word, and she tells him that demonstration works better for her than explanation. His girlfriend calls from the bedroom, and the next evening is fixed as one when she works late. Two episodes in, the girlfriend is in the shower, and Mica wants to know what crossing a line means and where it sits. Halfway through the second episode, the girlfriend calls to ask what they are doing, and the answer is studying.
