Where the run starts

At a family home where nobody is as careful as they should be, a grown woman who goes online as Sp00kybby learns that her private content has been leaked. Her partner ends things, her parents refuse to keep funding her life, and the only alternative they offer is Pine Ridge, a strict Catholic retreat meant to straighten out adults who strayed online. She calls it a jail with a religious label and has little choice but to accept. Before she leaves, her stepbrother, embarrassed by how rough his father can be, promises to come and visit her.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, she has agreed to go, the leak has cost her a relationship, and the stepbrother has made his promise. Two episodes in, she arrives at Pine Ridge, introduces herself by her online name and is welcomed by staff who promise to make her behave. A jump in time shows her four months in, still counting visits, and a fellow resident asks whether the stepbrother is only family, a question she shuts down with some force.
