Where the run starts

On the morning of a wedding, with the ceremony two hours away, the bride Emma is dressing in a back room and cannot be seen by the groom, because superstition says it would bring bad luck. Her sister Mila, the maid of honor, has used the wait to settle on one request. Mila has had her eye on the groom ever since he first met Emma, and she intends to say so before the vows. He wants a calm morning and a tie that sits straight. A single door is the only barrier between the rooms.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, Mila has fixed his tie, told him what she wants and asked for one time before he says the words, while the bride calls from the other side asking whether she may come in. Two episodes in, the two are still close, nervous and unsure, and Mila asks him to unzip her dress. Halfway through the second, Emma asks for her sister to help with her hair, and the groom says they should not.
