Where the run starts

In a tidy suburban home that has gone dark and quiet, a robotic maid named Yuna arrives for her first day of work. Her cheerful greeting, her announcements about cleaning and her mid-sentence apologies for still calibrating suggest a machine with the best intentions and very little context. The husband is on his way out with a joke about not burning the house down. His wife, who has been somewhat distant, watches the new arrival with curiosity. Yuna wants to help and does not yet know how.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, a forgotten laptop charger brings the husband home early, and he finds the house gloomier than he left it and asks his wife who Yuna is. Two episodes in, the household has a new rhythm, and the couple is rushing to prepare for a doubles tennis match with two new friends from Brazil, with only minutes to get ready.
