Where the run starts

In a family house in the weeks before a wedding, a bride named Ava declares that her fiancé Brad is too busy for the preparations, so her adult stepbrother Leo will stand in for him. She says he is harmless, and Brad, reached by phone, agrees. Ava wants to practice every moment of the ceremony before it counts: the vows, the dress, the kiss and the evening that follows. Leo, calm and slightly nervous, wants to help without making a mess of it.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, Leo has promised to notice when she goes quiet, Ava has coached him on how Brad holds her, and the officiant's cue for the kiss is near. She says they will find out whether he is as harmless as advertised. Halfway through the second, she changes into a dress for the after party, asks him to tighten it and watches his reaction. The rehearsal reaches the kiss, a visitor asks after Ava, and she whispers that the wedding night can come early.
