Where the run starts

As their island break nears its end, a couple who came to repair their marriage sit by the pool, and the husband, bored by his own vacation, draws the attention of a woman nearby who boasts of a cure for boredom. She wants him to help with her back, and his wife, watching from the next seat, remarks that they came to fix things, not to window shop. The stranger, Roxy Whitfield, answers with an easy invitation for the wife to try it too.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, the wife has stopped being a spectator and the stranger has declared she will let them have their fun for now. Two episodes in, the husband admits to his wife, Maya, that he meant to tell her something, and Roxy says she would hate to have misread the room. She insists they will play by her terms, sets a rule that both stay exactly where they are, and, when the wife claims to have had him first, proposes that it may not be only him she wants to share.
