Molly's Manipulations builds a household drama around Nick, who visits his brother's house and meets Molly, a fiancee whose partner keeps her away from other people. Across five episodes, a yoga mat, a kitchen and a growing attraction put loyalty under pressure. The register is slow burn, with careful teasing.

Where the run starts

A week before his thirtieth birthday, Nick arrives at his older brother Ryan's home and finds that Ryan is out. The woman who greets him is Molly, Ryan's fiancee, who teaches yoga online from the living room and is happy to have someone to talk to. She is bored and shut in: Ryan will not allow her to take studio work, because other people near her bother him. Nick is polite, slightly awkward and flattered by her attention. Molly wants to be seen as more than a possession, and she tests how far her curiosity can go in a house that is not really hers.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, Nick has been talked into joining a stretch session, and the episode ends with someone calling her name from the doorway. Halfway through the second, Ryan accuses her of being inappropriate, and a quarrel follows about how he keeps her away from everyone. She answers that he treats her like a monster. After he leaves, Molly offers Nick a chocolate dessert, a remark about his brother's physique, and a pointed comment about who kisses better.
