Where the run starts

In a shared home on an ordinary evening, Jake walks past a bedroom door and sees his girlfriend's stepsister, Kenzie Whitaker, changing. This is not the first time; by her count it is the seventh, and she points out that he had a moment to turn his head. Jake is flustered and apologizes, his girlfriend is already on her way out, and Kenzie, an adult who clearly enjoys being in control, offers him a longer view. He wants to be forgiven and gone. She wants to see how far he will go.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, Jake's girlfriend calls out that she is running late, Kenzie draws him inside with a quiet request for silence, and she lets him know the encounter is far from over. Two episodes in, the girlfriend leaves for a work dinner and says she will be home after midnight. Halfway through the second, she returns for her forgotten keys, and the only question is who is in the room when she walks in.
