Where the run starts

In a shared apartment that has just taken in a new tenant, Mona opens the door to a man who arrives in a rough patch and is told he can stay. Her roommate DarkAngel, who moved in only recently herself after her mother asked her to leave, comes to look him over and takes an immediate interest. Both women are bold, quick-tongued and short of patience for being told no. Neither is willing to share, and the newcomer, polite and a little overwhelmed, is the only person in the flat who does not know he is being contested.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, both roommates have made their interest plain, Mona offering the tour of her room while DarkAngel insists on tagging along, and he is asked outright to choose. Two episodes in, the contest moves outdoors: Mona washes his car and angles for a quiet drive into the hills, DarkAngel sabotages the plan with a well-timed spill and offers help picking an outfit, and by the end of the episode one of them has him to herself while the other is left outside.
