Where the run starts

In a shared apartment that one of them treats as a stage, Rose introduces herself as someone everyone knows, not for being clever. She also has a roommate, a nerd, who keeps the place running and has never said no to her. He stays in his room, and she regards that as for the best. One evening she tells him she has replaced the keyhole of his door with a larger one, and that he may look if he wants. He cannot tell whether she is joking.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, he has been given permission to watch and is not sure whether he is actually allowed to. Two episodes in, Rose is alone and bored, and she appoints him her driver on the promise that she might make his day. At a stop on the drive she picks up a lollipop, tells him she likes lollipops better than ice cream since they take longer to finish, and says she cannot stop looking at him. She asks if he wants to have some fun, and he says why not.
