Where the run starts

On a bright afternoon viewing of a first home, Ben and Emily walk the rooms together, delighted. Emily, certain this is the one, goes off to measure the big kitchen, and the realtor offers to show Ben the bedrooms upstairs. The realtor is poised, direct and confident that everyone looks at her, and says so. Ben wants to be a good husband and a sensible buyer. The couple, married two years, are asked whether the honeymoon is over. The realtor wants Ben in the room she shows only to husbands, a room with big windows, a lot of light and a door that locks.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, she has told him the door locks, invited him to try the bed, and left Emily to her measuring. Two episodes in, Emily wonders through the door why it is locked, Ben tells himself the realtor is only checking the lock, and the realtor answers questions with questions. Halfway through the second, Emily announces from below that their furniture would suit this bedroom, and the realtor murmurs that time is short.
