Where the run starts

At a tropical resort during a week of parties, Solene Yoon, a grown woman used to doing as she pleases, finds that her wealthy father has put a cold former soldier on her trail. The bodyguard is professional, silent and exact about his duties: he goes where she goes. Solene wants to be left alone with a drink and a dance floor. He wants to finish the job and keep the contract clean, and the contract says protection only. Her father, who has already dismissed three men this month, believes someone is out to hurt her.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, a man at the bar has refused to take no for an answer, and the bodyguard has stepped in with a firmness that gets him threatened with dismissal. Solene, startled, asks whether he was simply jealous. Halfway through the second, her father greets her at the party, hears her complaint that the bodyguard threw a man into the pool, and answers coldly. He then orders the bodyguard to drink with him and points out what his wages cover.
