Where the run starts

On the morning of a big conference, a woman named Sofia wakes her boyfriend Jake with pancakes and a kiss, telling him she is looking forward to seeing him on Monday. He leaves for his flight. Sofia wants a quiet weekend and a good-natured goodbye; Jake, as she is about to learn, has other plans he does not mention. A short message arrives to say a friend will drop off a new graphics card for the home office, and that this friend knows exactly what to do.

Episodes 1 and 2

By the close of the first episode, the friend is at the door, greeted as Jake's pal, and Sofia welcomes him in with a smile. Two episodes in, he works in the office on the left as Jake asked, and the installation is not expected to take long. She mentions her workout, leaves him alone with the computer and goes to start it. When he finishes and calls her name, there is no answer, and the doorway stands open.
